How your free IT haul works

Retiring computers leaves residual data risk until storage media is processed. Qualifying pickups include free NIST 800-88 data destruction after transport to our facility.

  2. 2Pickup & handoff
  3. 3Facility process
  4. 4Certificate

1 · Request

  • Send site address, what you are decommissioning, preferred day, and paperwork needs.
  • Name a dock, freight elevator, or ground-floor staging point if you have one, and note check-in or time windows.
  • Optionally attach an asset/serial list with the booking, or email it after, so we can track against the load.

2 · Pickup & handoff

  • Stage gear near the exit, ready at the dock or door for load-out.
  • We load the vehicle and remove the load from your site.
  • You sign the handoff and title transfer on site.
  • Ownership transfers to Electronics Pickup so we can process media and reuse, refurbish, or recycle equipment.

3 · Facility process

  • The load moves from your site to our facility for processing.
  • We extract eligible hard drives, SSDs, and other data-bearing media from the load.
  • NIST SP 800-88 purge-class processing on qualifying loads.
  • Physical destruction of eligible storage media.
  • Remaining equipment goes through responsible reuse, refurbish, or recycling.

4 · Certificate

  • A certificate with job ID, pickup and processing dates, media counts, and the method that ran (purge or physical destroy).
  • Serial-level destruction records are a paid add-on when ordered and recorded.

Before you schedule

Is this IT asset disposition (ITAD)?

Yes. Commercial IT equipment disposition with free bulk pickup, free NIST 800-88 data destruction, and paperwork options for office and MSP loads.

What free data destruction covers—and what is paid?

Free NIST SP 800-88 processing applies to storage media still inside whole, intact computers we haul as part of a qualifying bulk pickup (10+ items in our service area). Ask for a quote on bare or loose drives, trays, or media-only handoffs. Serial capture and serial-level destruction records are also paid when you order them, not free by default.

Purge or physical destroy—what is the default?

Purge (NIST SP 800-88 purge-class) is the free default on qualifying loads. Physical destroy runs when you request it. The certificate names which method ran. On short pages we may simply say “data destruction” when either method is fine.

Can an MSP or property manager book for a client site?

Yes. Use the form with the site address and your contact info. Mention “MSP” or “property manager” in the notes so we coordinate access and which entity needs the documentation.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance (COI)?

Yes when a building requires it. Check the COI box on the form or request it by phone or email.
